Fletcher Attempt (Plan B. Rumney)

We got what we thought was an early start on Saturday and made the long drive to Waterville Valley. The plan was to hike into Fletcher Cascade and spend the day ice climbing.  When we arrived at the parking lot, it was FULL - TOTALLY PACKED with cars that fled the city to the south.  After repeated attempts to find a place for the Bird, we launched Plan B and headed to Rumney.  In the end, this turned out to be a great idea.  The climbing was fine and we ran into Ryan Barber, Rumney local and former BA student.  It is always nice to catch up with old friends while climbing ice.

Ryan Barber, Rumney local and B.A. grad, out enjoying the the great weather.  Ryan started climbing back when he was a Brewster student.  Now, he is putting up first ascents.  It is always great to catch up with old friends.
